1. About Tower Document Storage & Shredding
These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Tower Document Storage Ltd., trading as Tower Document Storage & Shredding (“Tower Documents”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

2. Our Services
Tower Documents provides secure document storage and confidential destruction services, including:
- Secure off-site document storage
- Document retrieval
- Scan-on-demand services
- Archive box supply and delivery
- On-site confidential document shredding
- Regular shredding services
- On-call shredding services
- Single-visit shredding
- Office clear-outs
- Hard drive and data storage media destruction
- Uniform destruction
- Product destruction
The particular services provided to a customer will be agreed with the customer before the service begins.
3. Quotations and Orders
Any quotation provided by Tower Documents will set out the services proposed and the applicable charges.
A quotation is based on the information provided by the customer and may be subject to change if the requirements or circumstances differ materially from those described when the quotation was prepared.
A contract will come into effect when the customer accepts the quotation or otherwise confirms their agreement to proceed with the services.
Where a written quotation or service agreement contains terms that differ from these Terms & Conditions, the specific terms agreed in that quotation or agreement will apply to the extent of any inconsistency.
4. Document Storage
Where Tower Documents stores documents on behalf of a customer:
- Documents will be stored in our secure storage facility.
- Records will be catalogued and electronically bar-coded where applicable.
- Stored boxes will be assigned to a specific storage location.
- Records will be stored on purpose-built racking.
- Retrieval requests will be processed in accordance with the agreed service arrangements.
- Retrieved records will normally be returned to their designated storage location following retrieval.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring that documents provided for storage are properly identified and that any information supplied to Tower Documents for cataloguing or retrieval is accurate.
5. Document Retrieval and Scan-on-Demand
Customers may request the retrieval of documents held in storage.
Retrieval and scan-on-demand services may be subject to applicable charges, which will be communicated to the customer.
Where documents are scanned and supplied electronically, Tower Documents will take reasonable care in handling and transmitting the material. The customer remains responsible for ensuring that electronic copies received are stored securely once supplied.
6. Archive Boxes and Security Seals
Where archive boxes are supplied by Tower Documents, they may be supplied with security seals or other security measures as agreed.
Customers should ensure that boxes are appropriately sealed and labelled before collection where this forms part of the agreed service.
7. On-Site Document Shredding
Tower Documents provides confidential document shredding services on-site.
Where an on-site shredding service is arranged:
- Documents will be collected or presented for shredding in accordance with the agreed arrangements.
- Documents will be securely shredded on-site.
- Shredded paper will be sent for recycling.
- A certificate confirming secure destruction and removal for recycling will be provided where included in the agreed service.
Customers must ensure that documents presented for destruction are suitable for shredding and that they have the necessary authority to instruct Tower Documents to destroy them.
8. Other Secure Destruction Services
Where agreed, Tower Documents may provide secure destruction services for items including:
- Hard drives and other data storage media
- Company uniforms
- Products and other business materials
The method of destruction will depend on the nature of the item and the service agreed with the customer.
Customers are responsible for confirming that they have the authority to instruct Tower Documents to destroy any items supplied for destruction.
9. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
- Provide accurate information about the services required.
- Ensure that they have the authority to store, retrieve or destroy documents and other materials provided to Tower Documents.
- Inform Tower Documents of any special requirements relevant to the service.
- Provide reasonable access to premises where collection or on-site services are required.
- Ensure that documents or materials supplied for destruction do not contain items that Tower Documents has not agreed to accept.
- Pay invoices in accordance with the agreed payment terms.
10. Items Not Suitable for Shredding or Destruction
Tower Documents reserves the right to refuse items that are unsuitable, unsafe or outside the scope of the agreed service.
If a customer is unsure whether an item can be accepted, they should contact Tower Documents before arranging collection or destruction.
11. Collection and Access
Customers must provide reasonable access to the premises at the agreed collection or service time.
If Tower Documents is unable to carry out a scheduled service because reasonable access is not available, additional charges may apply where these have been agreed with the customer.
Any cancellation or rearrangement charges will be communicated to the customer before they apply.
12. Charges and Payment
Charges will be agreed with the customer before the relevant service is provided wherever reasonably practicable.
Invoices are payable within the payment period stated on the invoice.
Where payment is overdue, Tower Documents may contact the customer regarding the outstanding balance and, where permitted by the applicable agreement and law, may suspend further services until the account is brought up to date.
13. Storage Periods and Termination
The storage period and any applicable notice requirements will be set out in the customer’s quotation or service agreement.
At the end of a storage agreement, customers should arrange for their records to be collected, transferred or otherwise dealt with as agreed.
Tower Documents will not destroy stored records unless the customer has specifically authorised their destruction or the parties have otherwise agreed an applicable process in writing.
14. Security and Confidentiality
Tower Documents takes reasonable measures to protect documents and materials entrusted to it.
Personnel involved in the services may be security vetted and will wear appropriate identification while carrying out services on behalf of Tower Documents.
Tower Documents will treat customer information and documents as confidential, subject to circumstances where disclosure is required by law or by a competent authority.
15. Data Protection
Tower Documents will process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

16. Loss, Damage and Liability
Tower Documents will take reasonable care in providing its services.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where the customer is a consumer, nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects their statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
For business customers, any agreed limitations of liability, where applicable, will be set out in the relevant quotation or service agreement and will be subject to applicable law.
Tower Documents will not be responsible for loss arising from inaccurate information, instructions or authority provided by the customer, except to the extent that such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Complaints
If a customer has a concern about a service, they should contact Tower Documents as soon as reasonably possible.
We will investigate complaints and seek to resolve them fairly and promptly.

Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights a consumer may have.
18. Changes to Services
Tower Documents may make reasonable changes to its services where necessary for operational, security or legal reasons.
Where a change materially affects an existing customer arrangement, Tower Documents will communicate the change to the customer as appropriate.
19. Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.
The version applicable to a particular service will generally be the version agreed with the customer when the service was ordered or the relevant service agreement was entered into, unless a later change is required by law or otherwise agreed with the customer.
20. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions prevents a consumer from exercising any rights or remedies available to them under applicable Irish or European consumer protection legislation.
